What is Web Performance Analytics

Web performance Analytics is the fusion of web analytics with passive real user performance monitoring of visitors to your site.

It relies on JavaScript tagging of pages in your site in order to capture details from the client browser such as the browser type and version, OS type, Page Titles and URLs visited and the IP address of the user. From IP Address we can further determine the client name or ISP, country and city of the user.

With Web performance Analytics we collect all of these analytics measures but in addtional also instrument the pages in order to collect the page load times of the pages visited. It measures the time taken from the users click until the OnLoad event which denotes that the requested page has been fully downloaded.

The analytics and performance measurement data is collected for each and every page view accross your entire site.

By combining Web performance and Web Analytics means you can not only keep track of your visitors and which pages they are visiting but also see what kind of experience you are providing for them.
